Cherry Branch

This is an oil pastel of a cherry tree branch. I used a layering of colors to add textures. I was trying to again show the beauty of nature.

Collage

The subject of this pencil drawing was a collage that we put together in art. The collage was made out of pictures that represent myself. We used a grid and drew only what we saw inside the grid. I was trying to express happiness and my love of traveling.

Face Proportions

This is a sketch of a girl. I drew this in my art class when we were learning the proportions of the face. I used shading and details to make this pencil drawing come to life.

Panda Batik

This is my batik that I did in art this year. I chose to do a panda because I think the contrast between white and black is very artistic. Batiks are made on fabric using die and wax. The message I was trying to express was the beauty that can be found in nature.

Lighthouse Mandala

This is my mandala. The subject is a lighthouse. As you have seen in previous posts, I love to draw lighthouses. i used radial symmetry and colored pencils. The content I was trying to express was freedom and flow.

This is a darkened version. I love how it made the light look.

Watercolor and Photoshop

This is an original watercolor of a flower. I have no idea what type of flower, but I thought it was pretty.  The watercolor techniques I used in my painting were mainly washes, wet on wet and dry brush. The content of my picture beauty and harmony
This is the same picture, but I changed it to black and white in photoshop.

For this picture, I used a filter called glow edge. It does exactly what you think it would; makes the edges glow!

This is a splattered version or my picture.
This is a really cool version where the colors are inverted.
